We all have our starting point -- a sacred moment of conception. From that moment of conception we begin our journey on this planet through the channel of our mother, who is our first home, the first country in which we ever live.
After we emerge from the womb this journey on earth becomes our own. As the earth turns on its axis and revolves around the sun, our travels take the shape of a spiral within a spiral. With each expanding circle around the sun, our spiral widens out from our point of conception, and we gain experiences. We process, are affected by, and respond to these experiences. Most importantly, we learn from these experiences.
Consider the universality of the human experience. Each of us in this life will at some point go through the full spectrum from elation to despair. We will experience feelings of both fullness and emptiness. We will know the joy of fulfilling connections and the isolation of loneliness. We will gain recognition of authenticity in others, as well as the recognition of duplicity. Love will be present at the same time as loss. These polarities cannot exist without each other, and the Tantric path teaches us that while our perceptions of these experiences may differ vastly, in fact they are all the same; they are Shakti, Spanda, the sacred tremor of all life and creation.
It is our honor and our privilege to experience the vibration of creation in our human forms.
With each widening revolution of our own sacred spiral, we gain more knowledge, more perspective, and more space, translating to a strong clarity of vision. So though our experiences of joy, love, loss, wounds and victories may repeat themselves, our responses to them and how we perceive them will change. Our lives become the Japa, the repetition, and if we claim the path of the Tantrika, we go into that spiral of repetition with bravery, clear sight, curiosity, and neutrality, ever pressing forward on our journeys to see what waits for us on the other side.
