Join Lauren and Marla for a weekend retreat in the magical forests of New Hampshire, designed to help you honor and sustain the eternal Sacred Summer both within and without. This immersion weekend will include solar honoring practices in the form of meditation, asana and pranayama. We will explore ancient myths of solar deities through a fusion of vinyasa flow and storytelling, and share wisdom for how to evoke and call forth the power of the sun all year round.
Our time together will also include light and nourishing meals, contemplative woods walks, philosophy discussion, and tarot readings by request. The retreat is an opportunity to move deeper into your body, mind, and community, while immersing yourself in nature and the radiant energy of the season!
Marla Cinilia found her calling as a yoga teacher under the instruction of Lauren Hanna and Jonathan Fields at Sonic Yoga in NYC. She has recently studied alongside her forever-teacher, Johanna Bell, through Johanna's ground-breaking Illumina Yoga 300 hour program, whose philosophy is to train teachers to lead their students through the full spectrum experience of what it means to be human. Marla's classes invite you to explore the strength of your truth through a powerful fusion of asana and attention to the elements, lunar phases, astrological forecasts, and the mandala of the four seasons. Her prayer for the collective is that our every offering ― to ourselves, to one another, to our world - comes straight from the heart. Marla invites students to see clearly where they are the most needed, in order to RISE to meet that need with offerings that are heart-based and pure. She teaches at 3 Bridges Yoga in Portsmouth/York and Niraj Yoga in Portland. She lives and loves in Kittery Point, Maine with her yogi husband Mike, their shining son/sun Bodhi, and their two dogs.
